Mindful Co-Working
“This was really helpful and such a lovely space!! Thank you. Got so much on my to-do list done today and totally attribute that to you.”
“The guided mindfulness helped me to stop spiralling in my thoughts about feeling overwhelmed with so much to do.”
“I felt like I was in the most supportive exam setting ever - wow. I got three times the amount done in that hour. And it’s FREE.”
“It gave me a broader sense of perspective - from my little desk at home worrying about minutia to a much wider expansive headspace.”
What is mindful co-working?
It's an opportunity to take some time to step out of your day, ground yourself and meditate, and then work on whatever it is you really want to get done. I'll invite you to block out your diary and any distractions for the hour we’re together as a group. I run these sessions every Monday, free for anyone in my email community.
How do I sign up?
You’ll automatically be signed up when you join my email community. I send email reminders on the day, first thing in the morning, with a Zoom link.
I won’t send calendar invites, but you’re very welcome to put the session in your diary to help protect the time for yourself.
How does the session work?
At the start of the session, we'll take a couple of minutes to settle in, and then I'll lead a short mindfulness meditation.
We'll then move into the co-working section. This is an opportunity to work on something on your to-do list. It might be something you've been putting off, or perhaps something you want to carve out regular time for. You don't have to decide what to work on before you join. I'll ask everyone what they're planning to work on during the 35-40mins of co-working we have together.
During the co-working section, we'll be on mute getting on with our own work. Feel free to listen to music, talk to yourself, or whatever helps you focus! I recommend using gallery view, so that you can see others in the group as you work.
When our co-working time is up, I'll let you know, and check in on how it went for you! We'll then say farewell and head off to whatever our day has in store.
I'll guide us through the session, but if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
“I really enjoyed the session. I often set an intention to spend an hour doing something but always get sidetracked, so it was great to actually focus my attention for that period of time. I hope to join each week going forward.”
“It reminded me (a bit) of being back in the office again. Knowing people are there almost forces you to concentrate harder, or reminds you not to pick up your phone. It was also quite nice that I told my husband I was on work calls so he had to deal with the doorbell!”
“I really enjoyed the co-working session. It was a nice way to start the week by connecting with others and reflecting on how you feel. And I enjoyed the time focusing together too, it helped set a good tone for the week. I’ve set it up as a recurring meeting in my calendar so planning to keep joining. Thanks so much for taking the time to run these.”

Frequently asked questions
-
These sessions currently run on Mondays, 11am-12pm UK time.
-
No. I will guide you through the meditation on the day. If there’s anything you’re not sure of, just ask.
-
No. I invite everyone to turn their cameras off during the meditation. I find it can make it easier to focus.
For the rest of the session, I suggest we have our cameras on, but it’s not essential. Having our cameras on helps make use of the ‘Hawthorne Effect’ - we tend to modify our behaviour when we sense we’re being observed! In co-working, that can mean we’re more likely to focus on what we said we’d focus on.
Please know that you’re welcome to keep your camera off if that works better for you.
